Settlement vendors in Horizon are harder to build, but upgrade automatically and provide more easily collected income.
Building[edit | edit source]
Building a basic vendor shop requires a vendor contract. One is received for free in the mail soon after you build some settlement, and more can be bought from various vendors.
Upgrading[edit | edit source]
At level 0, vendors give no income. To upgrade them, upgrade your Trading level and your vendors will upgrade automatically.
Other vendor buildings[edit | edit source]
Supply stockpile and Trading storage also require a vendor contract but provide income and happiness bonuses without actually selling anything. Good for extra income and settlement decoration at same time. Shipping manager requires a settler manning it for extra income bonus.
Collecting income[edit | edit source]
During production cycle vendors produce vendor credits, which can be redeemed for caps via Market trading terminal. This lets you collect income in centralized way from all supply-linked settlements without visiting them. Market trading terminal also allows you to obtain things using vendor credits as payment for good or service.
